Golf

I personally, do not care for golf. However, if my boys are taking interest in something, I will be there snapping photos and participating.  The hubs was never really into golf until one day, he golfed with his uncle and received one tip on his swing and from that day forward he is a golfer! That being said, he recruited little man (which I thought would never keep his attention) and it sorta has!  I joined them one beautiful day in late Fall.
Blessed to have this man as my partner.
I got so tickled at how grown up my son "seemed".

 He is good, ya'll!
And his daddy let's him drive the cart! (I had my own, what with all the photography and such)
They are buds. Such a blessing. Such love.
And I am mama. Capturing moments, mending hearts, keeping it all together.
Thank you Lord for my blessings.

Field Day 2013

Our new school held field day November 1st. GENIUS. I sorta despised it otherwise, in May, in the Texas heat and humidity. K and I took the day off to attend and because we were set to go camping with our good friends all weekend.
 The weather was perfect.
This kid was happy and energetic.

We had storms for 2 solid days prior so the fields were soaked.
All events were held on the concrete and inside the school.

It was super fun. And busy. And chaotic.

There was a snow cone reward at the end too!
D had a cough for a few days but no other true signs of illness.  That morning he woke up with slight fever so we decided to head to the doctor after field day before camping so we did not get stuck over the weekend JUST IN CASE.  He knows the drill so he does become in denial and not so forthcoming with what might really be wrong.  Who wants to miss field day AND camping? Well, he tested positive for strep 1 hour after field day.  No sore throat either and that has happened before.  We let our fellow campers know (they own the camper) as a courtesy of course and it was decided it would be best to re-schedule.  Poor little D was crying and beside himself. We tried to explain we would go another time but nothing could help his little hurt feelings!

Halloween 2013

I am trying to catch up and document what I can!  Halloween 2013 arrived and we were met by officer Mero. He was so proud to serve the law by costume. Those are rain boots, ya'll!
I know the trick or treating days are limited so I proudly set out while Daddy stayed behind to hand out candy.
This was our first time in our new neighborhood and it was super packed and super fun.  Luckily, officer Mero knows all that candy is not good for you and he chooses a few favorites while the rest is donated to Mommy and Daddy's office, ha!
I love this sweet face and am so blessed.
