Thanksgiving 2010, part 1 - Bandera, Tx!

Every year we head to Kerrville for Thanksgiving to see Kevin's parents so that we can always be home for Santa Claus at Christmas.  Here is Dominic loaded up Wednesday afternoon (we worked the morning half)and ready to go with his DVD player in the back. Mommy and Daddy finally got smart and bought Spider Man head phones so that we don't have to hear it!  Some things just aren't that obvious........ha!

Leading the pack with his MeMe and Papa K following.
p.s.  They do tie the horses to those wooden posts you see!

On Wednesday nights at 11th Street Bar you can bring your own meat to grill, or if it's the Wednesday before Thanksgiving you can bring a turkey and they will fry it for $5, then they sell the sides.  Salad, beans, etc.  They have 6-8 huge grills they light up for everyone to use and there is live music (D's favorite).

Just arriving and watching the band start up.  My MIL and FIL had reserved seating with a large group
of 'retired folk' from their little community about 40 minutes away.

MIL and her friends who take dance class every Monday, line dancing!

Pictures out of order, but the stage for the band about to start.

Kevin's Uncle Rick on the left and his dad on the right with others
who are grilling.

The grills are huge, everyone shares!  A great time was had by all, especially Dominic.
He went last year and talked about it for a year!
